Creating a Student Account

Signing up takes about a minute.

Click Sign In, then Sign Up.

Enter your email and password.

Verify your phone number with a one-time SMS code.

Verify your email address.

That's it — you're in.

Applying to Teach

Already have a student account? Click "Become Teacher" or go to scolingo.com/become-teacher.

New to Scolingo? Click "Teach on Scolingo" — you'll create a student account first, then move straight into the application.

The application has 3 steps:

Personal Info

Add your name and a nickname (how students will see you). Keep it professional — your real name or a natural variation of it, no caps, no unrelated handles.

Languages

Select your native language and the language(s) you want to teach. Multiple languages are welcome.

Documents

  • Native language: a photo of your passport. A degree is optional.
  • Non-native languages: diplomas or certificates showing your proficiency.
  • An intro video (1–3 minutes) introducing yourself and your teaching style, in English and in each language you teach. Upload to YouTube (public or unlisted) or Google Drive — just not private. Double-check there's no trailing space in the link, or it won't validate.
  • A short note on your teaching experience, if any.

Review & Submit

Check everything, accept the terms, and submit. Review usually takes 1–2 business days.
